It's Time to Party!

We have a great opportunity to hang out and get to know each other a little better at our Tapestry Christmas Party this Sunday night, December 14, 6:30 pm at Excel. I'm really, really looking forward to it! We'll have desserts, a nice little contest (you'll have to wait to find out what it is), and just time to talk to each other. No big agenda, just a good living room environment. (It'll be a lot more fun than the picture looks, and you won't have to wear a goofy hat).

Feel free to bring someone with you! Maybe you know someone who has been hesitant to come to church. Hey, you never know, they might prefer the party!

You can help us to plan for the party by doing us a huge favor...could you e-mail us at information@tapestrychurchonline.com no later than tomorrow, December 11, and let us know you're coming?  That would be great, but whether you let us know or it's a last minute thing, come join us. It's gonna be great!

Big Weekend at Tapestry

This will be a huge weekend at Tapestry!

First, we have the opportunity to assist Advocates for Children with the Duck Derby 2008. We'll meet at the church as early as 4:00 pm on Friday, May 16 to put out signs, and then take them up at 5:30 pm on Saturday. If you can help, please e-mail me.

Second, our church picnic is this Sunday! We'll meet at Dellinger Park, Shelter #1 after our worship gathering.  Give us just a few minutes to transition over there and then we'll crank up the grill. This is a great time for us to just hang out with each other and get to know each other. No agenda, just being together as a church. If you didn't get a chance to sign up last Sunday, please e-mail us and let us know you'll be there and what you'd like to bring.

Third, Destinations starts this Sunday. Right at the time when school is getting out and people are looking to travel during the summer, this series reminds us that if we're on the wrong paths in life, we'll never be where we want to be. So how can I be sure that I'm on the right path?  That's what we'll talk about in Destinations. Go here to invite a friend!

Coming Up...

This Sunday is Mother's Day, and we'll close out the On Location series by taking a second look at what it means to be the "light of the world." We'll get real practical this time, with some specific things we can do to point people toward our Father in heaven. I can't overestimate the importance of this message.

We're also making final plans for our Tapestry Cookout!  We'll meet for lunch at Dellinger Park, shelter #1 on Sunday, May 18.  This will be a great time to hang out and get to know each other.  There will be a place in the lobby this Sunday to register.

There is so much more going on, like helping with the Duck Derby on May 16/17, a brand new series coming May 18, and volunteering to help the homeless shelter on June 7. We're busy, and it's a blast!
